Dundees WestFest

IMG_6923

Yesterday we were off out at the crack of dawn....well 9.45am on a Sunday feels like it, to fight with a giant multi-coloured gazebo on the windiest day ever, IT WAS WESTFEST! What a fantastic day we had, its so nice to get out into the sunshine and chat to people about all things knitting....and mainly pompoms. We were joined with Knitfield Queen Heather, and together we were bringing the pompom makers to Magdalen green. at one point we must have had 12 humans of varying sizes whipping up pompoms. After an afternoon of pompoming we had a wee wander round and bumped into loads of creative people that we know *waves* , there were live bands all day which was fab, i have to say wire and wool were my fave, and not just for their name....then my day descended into taking photos of as many dogs as possible, which i totally failed at because i kept on chatting to people!
Id just like to say a massive thank you to the guys that organised the fest and for letting us come along, deffo be back next year, if they will have me. Also thank you to the city council for allowing us the use of their magnificent multi coloured gazebo, they looked spectacular all together!
